The Rotary Club of Tallahassee is Saving Lives

Our Naloxone Training Receives Media Attention! WTXL ABC 27 came out to cover the recent Naloxone Training session with instructor, Mariah Kill.

Several of the members are now educated on how to recognize an overdose and administer the life-saving drug, Naloxone. Each attendee received a free dose of the medicine.

In response to the alarming increase in overdose deaths within our community, the Rotary Club of Tallahassee is partnering with the Rotary Action Group Addiction Prevention North America and Hikma Pharmaceuticals to provide essential training on the administration of Kloxxado, a groundbreaking Naloxone variant designed to save lives more effectively and efficiently.

Kloxxado, the newest Naloxone formulation, exhibits superior attributes, including extended duration, faster action, and heightened effectiveness in reversing opioid overdoses. Recognized as a life-saving drug, its deployment within our communities is paramount.

The goal is to have 20% of the population trained.

If you know of an organization or group that would be interested in training their members or employees, contact Alasdair Roe, alasdairroe@gmail.com, 601-383-1219
